Hey Chicago friends! Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 13th and get ready to enjoy some quality time with your furry BFF at the city’s largest pet-centric block party. This year, an organization near and dear to me, Chicago Canine Rescue (CCR), celebrates its 11th annual Mutt Strut fundraiser.
Pups and well-behaved humans are invited to participate in a 1.5 mile walk through Chicago’s charming Lakeview neighborhood, Southport Corridor. Following the walk, participants are invited to stay for a fun-filled block party with a doggy fitness course, K9 cake eating contest, dog wash and much more!

Animal advocate, Kye Martin of NBC5, will emcee the festivities along with Bo, a 90 lb. Shepherd Mix which she and her husband rescued from CCR after meeting him at a previous Mutt Strut.
