Don’s work with famous brands like Kibbles ‘N Bits surely makes him an icon here at Matrix, and we are honored to say he was recently selected as a 2015 Pet Age ICON Award recipient! Thanks to his smart strategies and marketing savvy, Don has spent over 30 years launching successful pet product brands and shaping the pet industry.
Don’s industry expertise and brand-building know-how have contributed to the success of many well-known and up-and-coming brands such as Pounce, Kibbles ’n Bits, Arm & Hammer, Swheat Scoop, NutriDent, Stella & Chewy’s, Look Who’s Happy, Bravo, Caru and Spring Naturals. His positioning and branding skills paired with his solid financial background have enabled him to constantly raise the pet product marketing bar. Over the years he has personally conducted countless consumer research sessions for Matrix clients, and his focused insights certainly gave their brands a leg up on the competition.
But what really sets Don apart from the rest is his dedication to the success of not only the pet industry, but pets themselves. Outside of the office, Don spends time trying to improve the lives of animals in need. He is actively involved with several pet rescue organizations like TLC Animal Shelter of Homer Glen, IL and Midwest Beagle Rescue, Education and Welfare. He also loves spending time with his four rescue pets, Bailey, Willie, Tucker and Toby.
